The Jersey International Air Display is free and the only thing better than seeing a spectacular free international air display is seeing it in a bay with picturesque views over sunny sandy beaches. The Jersey International Air Display is a major annual event for tourists and locals alike and raises funds for Forces Charities.
Jersey International Air Display
The Air Display has made its name within the international Air show Calendar and features a wide variety of aircraft from many different countries. In 2009 Aircraft from Belgium, Ireland, France, Netherlands, Russia, United Kingdom and the United States all featured in some way.
The Jersey International Air Display is organised by the Jersey International Air Display A.R.L. on behalf of the Royal Air Force Association (Jersey) Branch as part of Battle of Britain Week.
The static display is set-up on the South and Freight Aprons of the airport. Access to the static displays is limited and pre booking places is recommended.
There is a Corporate Hospitality Centre located at West Park, the focal point of the Display itself, where nearby ground attractions such as the helicopter static display and military vehicles can be seen.
There is also a popular air display ball in the evening which is open to the public tickets can be purchased in advance.
It is possible to sponsor the air display, sponsors can enjoy guest flights on helicopters, jets or warbirds and private viewing of vintage and modern aircraft at the Static display at the airport. (Subject to availability, safety and operating restrictions)
