Rozel Bay is a traditional fishing harbour rather than a pleasure beach despite this it is a very pleasant place to spend a day.
The beach is a mixture of sand, shingle and rocks and site in a sheltered bay safe for bathing, especially popular for swimming when the tide is in. Anglers use the pier and the which can be seen from the cafe, tearooms, restaurants and pub which are popular with tourists and locals.
When the tide is low in Rozel Bay a band of pure white sand is revealed that is perfect for making sandcastles and all the usual beach activities.
A good beach to visit when there is a south westerly wind, you will usually see people sunbathing in Rozel Bay. As there is a wide variety of superb eating opportunities in the area Rozel Bay is a perfect place to combine a trip to the beach with a meal. The beach loses the sun in late afternoon.
Parking is limited, so arrive early if you want to find a place close to the beach.
