Jersey’s capital, St Helier, gains its name from the patron saint of Jersey, St Helier. The life of this brave saint, who saw off a Viking attack, is celebrated each year with a series of events taking place in the Parish that bears his name. The popular two day celebration – Fête de St Hélier Street Party. The Fête de St. Hélier features a food village at Parade Gardens, arts and craft stalls, stages of live music and entertainment, funfair rides, a parade and much more. Tourists are invited to have fun together with locals. Two days party covering Broad Street, York Street and Parade Gardens.
