The work of Durrell Wildlife Coservation Trust has a completely different focus from traditional zoos; the animals in Jersey are there as ambassadors for their species in the wild, they are there to help us all learn about them as well as ourselves. Today, more and more animals are becoming endangered, and Gerry’s dream of not having a need for a centre for championing endangered animals is sadly not to be realised in our lifetime.

At Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust they have many volunteer guides who are able to take you or your group on a personal tour of our Jersey site (with French and German speaking tours available). Guided tours must be pre-booked 4 working days in advance. Details
